Prof. Amr Elnashai fellow of the British Royal Academy of Engineering Amr Elnashai is Vice-Chancellor and Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer at the University of Houston System and the University of Houston, respectively. He was previously head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (June 2009 to December 2013) and the Bill and Elaine Hall endowed professor. Prior to his current position, he was Dean of Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University, and the Harold and Inge Marcus Endowed Chair of Engineering. As dean, Amr was responsible for all aspects of operation and leadership of the College of Engineering. In 2017, the college had 11,000 students, 300 professors, 400 staff, $240M total budget, $137M research expenditure, over $210M endowment, 12 departments, 2 institutes and 20 research centers. He was responsible for undergraduate and graduate curricula, the research enterprise, alumni relations (76,000 living alumni) as well as communications and fundraising.He was previously head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (June 2009 to December 2013) and the Bill and Elaine Hall endowed professor. Before moving to the USA, Amr was division head at Imperial College, London, and a chaired professor. He created a new master's degree in earthquake engineering that became the leading graduate degree in the subject in Europe, created a large team of researchers and educators in the subject, and attracted exceptionally high levels of funding from industry and government research agencies.

Dr. Zhanping You earned his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign in 2003. He is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan Technological University. Dr. You has completed research projects related to road materials, pavement engineering, and sustainable building materials. He has led research projects from engineering practice of roads to pavement science with funding from federal, state, and local agencies. Dr. You has received numerous recognitions. He was awarded U.S. Department of Transportation’s Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship in 2001. In both 2004 and 2005, he was awarded the Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Faculty Fellowship. He earned the prestigious Michigan Tech Research Award in 2019 and University Distinguished Professorship. He was named as Fellow of ASCE in 2020, Fellow of ASCE’s EMI in 2021, and Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials in 2020. Dr. You served as the Chair to ASCE Engineering Mechanics Institute’s Pavements Committee and CI’s Bituminous Materials Committee. He is also the guest editor for other journals outside of ASCE.

Dr. Adriaens is Professor of Environmental Engineering, Finance, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan, with appointments in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Ross School of Business, and the School for Environment and Sustainability. He directs the Center and Master of Engineering program in Smart Infrastructure Finance, focused on efficient financing mechanisms for public and private infrastructure systems such as water, energy, waste, transportation and mobility. The Center is a co-founder of the University’s FinTech Collaboratory with the FinTech Initiative in the Ross School of Business and the Center for Finance, Law, and Policy at the Ford School of Public Policy. He was President of the Association of Environmental Science and Engineering Professors is a member of the American Academy of Environmental Engineering, and of the Belgian Royal Academy of Applied Sciences and the Arts. Previously, he was Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship at Sichuan University (China) and at the Research Institute of the Finnish Economy (Helsinki, Finland) focused on investment and financing models for green economically transitioning. He serves as investment advisor to the Great Lakes Impact Investment Platform under the auspices of the Council of Great Lakes Governors. His research and teaching focus on data-driven (digital) business and finance models for infrastructure, blockchain applications for smart cities infrastructure, and artificial intelligence/machine learning models for asset pricing of sustainability premiums in bonds and equities. He is co-founder of Equarius Risk Analytics, a financial technology firm focused on asset risk pricing from water exposure in securities and indexes.

Dr. Anoop S. Mokha's engineering career has spanned from basic research on Friction Pendulum bearings to their implementation in important and critical industrial, bridge, and building structures worldwide. As Vice President of EPS, since 1999, Dr. Mokha has worked closely with Clients, Engineers, Architects, and Contractors for successful and cost-effective implementation of ‘Continued- Functionality” design with Friction Pendulum bearings in over 30 countries. Clients such as Apple, Samsung, Shell, Exxon, Texas Instrument, GSA, State of California, etc. have realized construction cost savings of hundreds of millions of dollars with the creative and innovative seismic solutions provided by EPS. During his 10 year tenure as Structural Engineer at Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, San Francisco, Dr. Mokha lead the project team for the design and implementation of Friction Pendulum bearings for the New San Francisco International Terminal building and the retrofit of the Historic Landmark Building; the U.S. Court of Appeals in San Francisco.

Professor Nashwan Dawood is currently associate Dean for Research & Innovation and responsible for the School of Computing responsible for the development and operations of R&I strategy. He has have more than 30 years of research and Innovation experience in the areas of digital construction, smart energy systems for decarbonisation of industrial clusters and construction processes. He has published extensively in more than 320 peer reviewed papers/conferences and generated more than 7 million research grants from UK Research & Innovation agency, EU H2020, Qatar Foundation, industry and Innovate-UK. He is a member of Industrial Decarbonisation Research Centre which is based in Edinburgh (IDRIC.com) and as part of IDIC, he is running two major research projects in the area of modelling of industrial cluster at Teesside for energy switch to hydrogen in collaboration with TVCAand Durham University. He is leading for the academic development of NetZero Industrial Decarbonisation Centre at Teesside (NZIIC) in collaboration with a host of process industry companies, TWI, CPI and TVCA. The £16.5 million NZIIC is focusing on hydrogen economy, circular economy and smart energy systems (https://www.tees.ac.uk/sections/research/netzero/) He has successfully developed national and international partnerships across the world to collaborate on international funded innovation project which include EU, Japan, USA and Qatar in area of sustainability and digital construction. Vasudevan Suresh is a Civil Engineer from Anna University (College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai) with 57 years of professional experience in Housing, Infrastructure, Rural, and Urban Development, Real Estate Development and Built Environment sectors, leading to Sustainable Development. Has worked in Tamil Nadu Public Works Department (1 ½ year) and later in Bureau of Indian Standards (12 ½ years) and was directly associated with the formulation of leading National Standards and Codes and National Building Code and is Vice Chairman, NBC 2005 and the 2016 revision, and Chairman, Housing and Planning Sectional Committee and Member of Smart Cities Committee of BIS. He is also associated with the revamping of Building Regulations, Fire regulations and Development Control Rules of state governments and municipal corporations and municipalities in line with NBC for the built environment and infrastructure sectors. Served HUDCO in various capacities for 23 ½ years and was CMD, till June 2002, during which period HUDCO registered all-round growth in housing and infrastructure development and financing with techno- financial assistance with innovative options, establishing Housing Retail Finance, development of appropriate technology applications including, establishment of National Network of Building Centres, Disaster Mitigation and Rehabilitation Projects and capacity building programs which has been received well within the country and abroad. He was directly involved in HUDCO‘s assistance and direct implementation projects for Latur, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, and Gujarat Earthquakes as well as Odisha Cyclone. He was Principal Executive Officer and later Director of HIRCO group companies for 10 years for Hiranandani Integrated self - contained mixed use townships at Oragadam (outside Chennai) and Panvel (outside Mumbai) V Suresh has worked in various Government of India Expert Groups on Housing, Urban Development, Building Technologies, Disaster Mitigation and Sustainable Development. Was Chairman, Government of India Task Forces for Odisha Cyclone and Chamoli Earthquake. He was a Member of the Government of India Technical Advisory Group on Real Estate / Housing Price Indices. He is presently a Member of Govt. of India Task Force on Rural Housing and Habitat. He is also a Member of the Govt. of India, Expert Group for Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission (SPMRM) under the Ministry of Rural Development. He is a Member of the Expert Appraisal Committee of Ministry of Environment and Forests and Climate Change for Environment Impact Assessment clearance for large Infrastructure projects. Dr. Bersing obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in Math and Economics from the Virginia Military Institute and a Masters’ in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland Europe (Bowie State). His terminal degree, Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership, was obtained from the University of Phoenix, School of Advanced Studies (SAS) in 2009. Upon graduating from VMI, he joined the U.S. Government working for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) in 1990. In 1997, he joined O'Brien Kreitzberg/ URS Corporation and founded and operated IPS Corporation, P.C., engineering, and PM/CM service company. Bill worked and lived in Europe for 18 years. He is currently the President and CEO of the Institute for Program Solutions (IPS Corporation) P.C., based in Alexandria, Virginia (USA). Dr. Bersing is a registered Virginia Professional Engineer, is a former American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Region 10 Board of Governors, Governor/ ASCE Italy Group/Section, President, is a member of the ASCE Engineers without Borders and is an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). He is also on the Board of Trustees (BOT) for Randolph Macon Academy (RMA) Front Royal, Virginia. Dr. Bill Bersing is an accomplished Senior Executive with more than 29 years of success across the energy, engineering, construction, security, IT, and government sectors. Dr. Bersing has held leadership positions at companies including the Institute for Program Solutions PC (IPS), SKE International, URS, Louis Berger, and Jacobs Engineering. As President of IPS since 2011, he oversees Construction Management and Engineering throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME) to the U.S. DoD, Department of State and several large corporations. Projects have included writing and assisting in negotiations for a $750M (PPP) contract between the U.S. government and Dubai Port World. He is considered a Construction Disputes Resolution/Claims Analyst expert. Dr. Bersing was responsible for reviewing and analyzing several schedule claims incorporating a $16B integrated rail system for Qatar Railway. He led schedule review and claims evaluation activities for the $1.5B design-build Major Stations project. His assignment also included: the World Trade Center construction program, specifically the Flood Resiliency program, West Point USMA academic building upgrade program, State Department Embassy Construction, Qatar Railways, FTA, NIST radiological research building renovation, and the Jamaica NS Highway program. Professor Han-Yong Jeon is a geosynthetics/technical organic materials researcher of Inha University, Incheon, South Korea. Since 1998, he is the director of Geosynthetics Institute Korea Directory and has worked in International Geosynthetics Society as Council member (2006~2012) and the 6th president of Korean Geosynthetics Society (2011~2013) and the 32nd President of Korean Fiber Society (2014~2015). He has published more than 964 proceedings in the domestic and international conferences and published 168 papers in domestic & international journals. He wrote 25 Korean and English books including 'Review of Sustainable Geosynthetics Development Trend with Environmental Adaptive and Eco-Environmental Performances Point of View’, ISBN 978-1-78985-176-2, IntechOpen, 2020. He has awards of Marquis Who'sWho - Science and Engineering in 2003~2017 and Top 100 Scientists in the World: 2005/2011 of IBC (International Biographical Centre, UK). Dr. Farid is a Professor at the Civil Engineering Department. He joined the faculty in Civil Engineering at Boise State as an Assistant Professor in spring 2008. He was first promoted to Associate Professor in 2013 and then to Professor in 2020. Before joining Boise State, he was an Associate Research Scientist at CenSSIS (The Gordon Center for Subsurface Sensing and Imaging Systems), Northeastern University, Boston, MA. From 2001-2003 he was a Research Assistant at CenSSIS and Civil & Environmental Engineering Dept., Northeastern University, Boston, MA where he received his Ph.D.

Dr. Saiidi is a Professor Emeritus and Director of Center for Advanced Technology in Bridges and Infrastructure at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), a Distinguished Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Senior Principal at Infrastructure Innovation, LLC. He has directed research on experimental and analytical studies of seismic response of reinforced concrete bridges and other structures, seismic retrofit, resiliency with novel materials, and seismic response and design of prefabricated and deconstructible bridges. As a Senior Principal at Infrastructure Innovation, LLC, Dr. Saiidi has served as a technical expert conducting forensic evaluation of a variety of structural engineering issues. He has published over 550 papers/reports and given over 450 presentations around the world, many as a keynote speaker. Dr. Saiidi research has been funded by many national and state agencies including the US National Science Foundation, US Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, National Cooperative Highway Research Program, Departments of Transportation in California, Washington, and Nevada, etc. Dr. Saiidi has received many awards for his innovative research and publications including the Outstanding Researcher Award, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Distinguished Alumni Award, the Lemelson Innovation Award, Established Innovator Award among others. He holds a patent for resilient bridge column elements incorporating smart materials and he is a registered professional engineer in California and Nevada.

Mark Sarkisian, PE, SE, NAE, LEED BD+C, is a Partner of Structural and Seismic Engineering at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in San Francisco, California. He received his BS Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Connecticut where he is a Fellow of the Academy of Distinguished Engineers and his MS Degree in Structural Engineering from Lehigh University. He also received an honorary Sc.D degree from Clarkson University and an honorary MS degree from the Politecnico di Milano. In 2021, he was elected to the prestigious National Academy of Engineering (NAE) in the United States. His career has focused on developing innovative structural engineering solutions for over 100 major building projects around the world, including some of the world’s tallest. Mark holds 14 U.S. and international patents for high-performance seismic structural mechanisms and environmentally responsible structural systems. He teaches studio design courses at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, Cal Poly, California College of the Arts, North Carolina State University, Northeastern University, and the Pratt Institute and has the written the book entitled “Designing Tall Buildings – Structure as Architecture” with the second edition recently released by Routledge -Taylor & Francis.

Prof. Arch HC. Enzo Siviero born on 1945 in Padua, Italy. In 1969, he graduated in Civil Engineering. In 1972, he started teaching activity at IUAV, the University of Venice, when in 1994 he became a full professor of Theory and Design of Bridges. At present, he is Rector of online University eCampus Italy where he teaches Bridge Theory and Design. In China, he is a Consultant Professor at the College of Civil Engineering of Tongji University, Shanghai-China, an Adjunct Professor at Fuzhou University and Chang’An University, Xi'an-China, former member of CUN, National University Council at the Ministry of Education in Rome (2007-2015) and deputy president (2007-2013). Awarded the honorary degree in Architecture by Politecnico di Bari, 2009. After his Graduation, over the years he has carried out in-depth research into the theme of Bridges, devoting a large part of his academic activity to teaching structures to architects in order to reach the highest point of connection between structure and form, mechanical behavior, and aesthetics features. This objective has been carried out giving huge importance to the conceptual design of bridges, paying particular attention to their integration into the landscape, in order to obtain a more sustainable and less invasive development of infrastructures. As an expert on structural mechanics and concrete structures, he has performed important research on both these topics at the National and International levels within the IUAV, mainly within CEB FIP (later FIB) as member of the editorial board of CEB FIP MODEL CODE '90. With reference to the professional field, Enzo Siviero has designed several outstanding structures alone or in a team with some engineers and architects. His main fields of activity are conceptual and detailed design, the durability of concrete structures, structural diagnosis, and monitoring, and refurbishment and strengthening of bridges, flyovers, and footbridges. He is the author and editor of numerous books and articles on reinforced and prestressed concrete, management of structural works, conservation, rebuilding and strengthening of roads, bridge design, and large structures. He is also the author or co-author of many technical-scientific papers. In 1999, he inaugurated the exhibition “Enzo Siviero: the theme of the bridge” which has been presented in many Italian and European Universities. In 2009, he inaugurated his important exhibition “Ponteggiando – Bridging” which is currently touring various Universities all around the world, from Europe to China India Africa and America. Professionally, he is active both in Italy and abroad in the field of building industry, structures, and infrastructures especially bridges, viaducts, and roads. In 2019 he inaugurated the third exhibition Enzo Siviero The Bridge Men (Reggio Calabria Italy).

Dr. Shahria Alam is a Professor and Tier-1 Principal’s Research Chair in Resilient & Green Infrastructure in the School of Engineering at The University of British Columbia. He is the Director of the Green Construction Research & Training Center (GCRTC) at UBC. Dr. Alam is the Chair of the Engineering Mechanics and Materials Division of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE). He received his PhD from Western University in 2008. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles and is the recipient of many national and international awards including three best paper awards, and last year’s EGBC Sustainability Award 2021. Dr. Alam is the editorial board member of ASCE’s Journal of Bridge Engineering and Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering.

Dr. Carlos Mendez, born in Mexico in 1981, received his Ph.D. and MEng degrees in Earthquake and Structural Engineering from Hokkaido University, in Sapporo, Japan. He is currently Chairman & CEO at SeismicPS | Seismic Protection Solutions, LLC, and since 2017, elected as global Vice-president of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), the youngest ever in the 90-year history of the Association. He works as a technical consultant on earthquake damage mitigation strategies for infrastructure projects worldwide. At mageba Group, he has worked as Technical Advisor in Japan, Project Manager for Seismic Devices in Switzerland, Manager for Seismic Devices in the USA, and Regional President LATAM in Mexico. He has twice been presented with the Best Young Researcher Award by the Japanese Society of Steel Construction, in 2006 and 2007. He was awarded 2011 the Youth Merit Award by the Michoacán State in Mexico. He is an active member of several international associations, including IABSE, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Japanese Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE), the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), and the Mexican Society of Earthquake Engineering (SMIS). At IABSE he has served as a member of the working group “Earthquake Resistant Structures” from 2009 to 2017, the E-Learning Board, the Young Engineers Board, as well as Founding Chairman of the Mexican National Group of IABSE in 2011. He has also been a member of several Scientific Committees for the IABSE Conferences in India, China, Malaysia, Portugal, and the USA. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Society of Earthquake Engineering (2018-2019). He has been invited as a Keynote Speaker to over 20 conferences and events around the world. Dr. Mendez has published over 75 scientific papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, peer-reviewed international conferences, and other technical meetings. He is the author of 5 book chapters on bridge engineering.

Dr. Yusuf Mehta joined Rowan University in 2001. He developed the Center for research and Education in Advanced Transportation Engineering Systems (CREATEs) and assumed the role of its director in 2015. Since coming to Rowan, Dr. Mehta, has received approximately $20 million dollars of external funding in pavements and materials. He has extensive experience working on several research projects with New Jersey, Florida, Wisconsin, and Rhode Island departments of transportations, Federal Highway Administration and Federal Aviation Administration, and Department of Defense. He has also led the effort to acquire the Heavy Vehicle Simulator (HVS) that can simulate 10-20 years of traffic in a few years. Dr. Mehta has received several teaching awards, such as the ASCE-NJ Educator of the Year Award, May 2014, and the 2012 Louis J. Pignataro Memorial Transportation Engineering Education Award. The award was for an outstanding record of achievement in transportation engineering research, and undergraduate and graduate engineering education. Mid-Atlantic American Society of Engineering Education Section Distinguished Teaching Award, West Point, 2008. He has also received the faculty research achievement award in 2014.

Dr. Abdeldjelil Belarbi is Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Professor Distinguished Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Houston. He is actively engaged in a broad spectrum of structural engineering research areas. His primary research contributions focuses on the constitutive modelling, analytical, and experimental investigations of structural concrete. His research also focusses on smart structures and use of FRP composites with focus on the development of advanced materials and use of FRP for rehabilitation and strengthening of aging and deteriorated civil engineering infrastructure. Dr. Belarbi has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on numerous research projects and has published over 260 technical papers and reports and had supervised over 50 MSCE theses and PhD dissertations. Dr. Belarbi is a Fellow of ASCE, ACI, SEI and IIFC. He is also very active (member and/or Chair) on several technical national committees within ACI, ASCE, and TRB. Dr. Belarbi is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the 1995 Outstanding Paper Award of the Earthquake Spectra Journal and the Honorable Mention for Outstanding paper from the Masonry Society. He was also the recipient of nine Faculty Excellence Awards and ten Outstanding Teaching Awards for his excellence in research, teaching and service contributions to the profession. Among other national awards, Dr. Belarbi is the recipient of the Missouri Governor’s award for excellence in teaching, and the James M. Robbins Excellence in Teaching National Award. He is also the recipient of the 2011 ACI Joe W. Kelly Award and 2019 ACI nVent LENTON Award for Code Simplification and Improvement and more recently he received the ACI Delmar L. Bloem Award (2021).

Young-Jin Cha, Associate Professor. Professor Young-Jin Cha received his Ph.D. (2008) from Texas A&M University in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He served as a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (2012). He then joined the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba in 2014. He is the pioneer in the deep learning-based automated structural health monitoring with autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have led to the publication of 41 peer-reviewed, high-impact papers in top journals. He was listed in Top 0.45% cited scientist within the Civil Engineering field and top 2% cited scientist in all areas of science and engineering for a single year impact in the world in 2021. The selection of the subgroup is based on over 100,000 top scientists by c-score without self-citations or a percentile rank of 2% or above. It comes from the Mendeley metadata of citations analyzed by Elsevier and coordinated by Stanford University. Dr Xiangming Zhou is a Professor and Head of Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences at Brunel University London. Dr Zhou joined Brunel in October 2008 as a lecturer and was subsequently promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2011, Reader in 2016 and Professor in 2018. Before joined Brunel, he was a Lecturer then Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering at the University of Greenwich from January 2007 to September 2008. He conducted post-doctoral research at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Hong Kong Polytechnic University from January 2005 to January 2007. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in December 2004. He also holds two degrees, BEng in Civil & Structural Engineering and MEng (Res) in Structural Engineering awarded in 1997 and 2000, respectively, both by Tongji University, Shanghai, China. Dr Zhou’s research covers a broad range of fields in construction materials and technology, with a focus on cement and concrete, and structural engineering. In the area of construction materials and technology, he focuses on advanced concrete technology such as extrusion, 3D printing, additive manufacturing, low carbon and energy-efficient (through encapsulated phase-change materials (PCMs)) cementitious materials and energy-efficient buildings, cementless but cement-like materials such as magnesium oxychloride cement and geopolymer / alkali-activated cement made from metakaolin, calcined clay, pulverised fly ash (PFA), mining waste and/or ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) etc., valorization of construction and demolition waste (CDW) and mining waste, testing and modelling of rheology and early-age engineering properties of cement-based materials for extrusion and 3D printing, fracture testing and modelling of concrete, restrained shrinkage cracking of concrete, synthetic and/or natural fibre reinforced concrete, cement-based smart and functional materials for infrastructure, applications of nanotechnology in cement-based materials etc. In Structural Engineering, his research interest falls in seismic testing, analysis and design of steel-concrete composite high-rise buildings, performance-based multi-hazards mitigation of building structures under extreme loadings, precast concrete segmental bridges, fibre-reinforced concrete ground slabs, impact and fracture of natural fibre reinforced concrete, structural-function integrated structural panels, and numerical modelling of fracture and structural behaviour of concrete and concrete structures which brings his expertise in Construction Materials & Technology and Structural Engineering under one umbrella.

Professor SL Chan, Chair Professor in Computational Structural Engineering in PolyU, published more than 300 papers in journals, books, conferences and keynote/invited papers in major steel conferences overseas. His book, “Non-linear static and cyclic analysis of steel frames with semi-rigid connections, Elsevier, 2000, pp.336”, summarizes his work in the area before 2000. He was the first principal consultant of the Code of practice for structural uses of steel versions 2005 and 2011 published by Buildings Department of Hong Kong SAR Government. Nazanin Rezaei is a Senior Bridge Engineer at WSP USA. She is a dedicated professional civil engineer with a strong background in structural analysis and design supported by six years of higher education and more than ten years of experience in various fields of structural and bridge engineering. Her Ph.D. experimental work has had a substantial impact on the civil engineering field and contributed to a change in the American Concrete Institute’s 318 building code requirements. She has published several papers mainly in ACI Structural Journal. She also voluntarily serves the civil engineering society as a paper reviewer, an active Committee Member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), and an Associate Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Hedieh Haddad is a Doctoral researcher at SnT (Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust), University of Luxembourg, where she works in the field of construction, mainly Building Information Modelling (BIM). She received her master’s degree from the Department of Computer Science at the Shahid-Beheshti University of Tehran, Iran, where she was a research assistant at the Artificial Intelligence Research Lab. Coming from a background in artificial intelligence, she has been involved in numerous topics. Arturo Espitia is a project manager engineer at the National Institute of Roads of Colombia (INVIAS). He is a Civil Engineer by profession and a Road Infrastructure Specialist from the UPTC University dedicated to a solid background in road project management with a territorial approach, backed by more than 7 years of higher education and more than ten years of experience in processes related to the execution, monitoring and control of civil works, through the coordination of administrative technical audits, especially in road infrastructure and pavements. Cíntia Martins holds a Master's degree in Polymer Engineering from the University of Minho. She currently works as a researcher at CeNTI – Centre of Nanotechnology and Smart Materials, in Functional Fibers area. Stefano Sorace is a Full Professor of Structural Engineering at the Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture (DPIA) of the University of Udine, Italy. His research topics concern various topics within earthquake engineering, advanced seismic protection of buildings, computational modelling of new and existing structures, structural rehabilitation, as well as the analysis of the time-delayed behaviour of building materials and the dynamic characterization of structural elements and systems. He is the author or co-author of over 180 scientific publications, including 45 articles in Scopus / ISI Web of Science indexed international journals. Dr Ana Bras is Senior Lecturer of Civil Engineering at the Liverpool John Moores University, UK, Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, with 17 years of experience in R&D and Consultancy on bio-based composites for durability and hygrothermal risks minimisation of infrastructures. Dr Bras is team leader of a group working at LJMU on bio-based materials to increase infrastructure durability with low carbon solutions to repair/expand existent structures and buildings in line with energy infrastructure needs, increasing its service life and making it more resilient to sea water environments. In addition, Dr. Molina obtained a Ph.D. in Water Management in 2009 from the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME) and the University of Granada with the title "Integrated Analysis and management strategies of aquifers in semi-arid zones: Application to the case study of the Altiplano (Murcia, SE Spain)". He holds a position as a Full-Associate Professor (Hydraulic Engineering Area) at the University of Salamanca. He is the director of the IGA (Ingeniería y Gestión del Agua) Research Group at University of Salamanca.

He has extensive experience developing low-cost systems and creating low-cost data acquisition auxiliary. Dr. Justin Kinda graduated from Ecole Centrale Nantes (Centrale), France, in 2017 and received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Paris-Saclay, France, in 2021. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg. He is actively involved in research on cement-based materials specifically focused on sustainability, long-term durability, cracking, and mass transport. His research used full-field experimental devices, modeling approaches, and numerical simulation tools using multi-scale and multi-physics methods. He has taught courses on reinforced and prestressed concrete structures. Dr. Kinda has published two papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and participated in 4 international conferences.

Dr. Jan Cervenka is strong research as well as praxis-oriented experience in the application of computational mechanics and advanced information technology in engineering problems such as advanced mathematical and numerical modeling of brittle and heterogeneous materials, simulation of engineering structures, grid/cloud/parallel computing of engineering problems, modeling of smart/intelligent structures/buildings. My professional goal is to strive for new development in these methods and bring them closer to practicing engineers and extend the applicability of these modern methods in engineering practice. Hui Wang is a lecturer in the field of road engineering in the School of Civil Engineering, Chongqing University, graduated from the School of Transportation Engineering, Tongji University, with a PhD in road and railway engineering in 2016. She was technically responsible for the research of pavement intelligent maintenance decision system in Shanghai Municipal Maintenance Management Co. from 2015 to 2018 and joined Chongqing University in 2017. Ning Hao is a PhD student of School of civil engineering in Southeast University. Her research interests include bionic composite materials inspired by beetles and mechanical abilities of Grid Beetle Elytron Plates (GBEPs). The topics of her current research are (i) Compressive mechanical abilities of polyvinyl chloride foam-filled short basalt fiber reinforced composite GBEPs, (ii) Shear mechanical characteristics of 3D-printed GBEPs. She received the B.S. degree in civil engineering from Sichuan Agricultural University, Dujiangyan, China, in 2017 and the M.S. degree in civil engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2019. Wen-Cheng Liao is a professor at National Taiwan University. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2010. His primary research interests focus on innovative cementitious materials, as well as the applications of high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete in earthquake-resistant structures.

DN DHITAL is a citizen of Nepal. I have been working for Good Earth Nepal (a New York-based not-for-Profit Organization), headquartered in Kathmandu, Nepal, and serving as construction manager as well as trainer since 2015. We have been working in Nepal and building houses and schools using Earthbag Technology as a sustainable alternative to rebuilding Nepal after the devastating Earthquake in 2015. We have succeeded to get this technology approved in Nepal on the Federal Level for the first time ever in the world. With a mission to spread Earthbag technology as sustainable, inexpensive and earth-friendly construction techniques, we have been presenting and giving guest lectures on Earthbag Technology as Sustainable Building Technique in various engineering colleges, Universities, Organizations, Government Bodies, and diplomatic agencies, and NGOs of Nepal and India. Since 2015 we have built 13 schools and about 200 houses (for needy families) all over Nepal using Earthbag Technology.

As a senior hydrologist/hydraulic engineer, Urban highway design and review, Drainage master plan technical review, Intelligence Transport System review are some of the projects I have participated. I have also worked as an Infrastructure Engineer and Asset Management Specialist for the annual performance assessment of World Bank Projects of various cities in Ethiopia. I have been working as a researcher at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, College of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Ethiopia. I have been working on urban and semi-urban surface hydrology under climate change using integrated watershed and hydrological models. I have done urban flood management under climate uncertainties and varying rainfall patterns using LID scenarios. I have working on a modification of existing widely and commonly used rational and SCS CN peak runoff estimation models for urban and small watersheds. I have more than 8 publications individually as well as in a group and member of Google scholar, ORCiD. I am a reviewer for JENRS and ASTES journals.

El-Gendy-Marwa was born on 26 March 1983, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. EL-Gendy received her Masters's and Ph.D. in Architecture from Ain Shams University – Cairo-Egypt in 2010 and 2017 respectively. Dr. El-Gendy’s Ph.D. thesis entitled “Structure as a Form Generator for Sustainable Design”. It focuses on the role of structure within architectural form generation, its importance, how architects use computer programming to produce mathematical models to control light in their buildings during studying the parametric “cell” structure. Dr. El-Gendy attended the ATI course in 2018 “Architecture: Performative Design for digital manufacturing” at the University of East London. The School of Architecture, Computing & Engineering Docklands Campus London- UK. She has taught Architecture and Design in Egypt at the Modern Academy for Engineering & Technology (Architectural Department) between 2005 and 2010. She was involved in designing many projects in Egypt and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, mainly during her work as an Architectural Designer for an Engineering Consulting Company for 5 years. She joined Effat University, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Fall 2017. She is currently teaching courses in Architecture Design, Energy and Design, and Sustainable Design at Future University,, Her research interests include Generative Design, Algorithmic Analysis; in addition to research on Environmental Design. Dr. El-Gendy is a member in the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate, Cairo Egypt. Dr. El-Gendy is a member of the technical committee of the 3rd International Conference on Smart Grid and Smart Cities (ICSGSC 2019), University of California, Berkeley. Dr.El-Gendy received the best oral presentation for her research paper at the same conference.

Mr. Waleed is a Sustainability consultant and advisor who possesses 17 years of experience in sustainability management of Megaprojects in the middle east and Africa. He played a key role in the construction of the 2022 world cup infrastructure including railways projects and 2022 tournament stadiums. He is the co-founder of SHAWER for consultancy and sustainable development which focuses on sustainable solutions in Egypt, especially in post-pandemic situations. Mr. Waleed has an architectural background as he graduated from faculty of engineering Cairo university in 2004 and holds a master’s degree in architecture and he is currently a PhD candidate with research topic on sustainable buildings in pandemic situations. Waleed has been a guest lecturer in several universities including university of East London, Qatar university and Cairo university. He is also a fellow of the international sustainability academy in Hamburg, Germany. He believes that “Sustainability is a team effort and everyone in the project team should work to achieve this together.

Nouredine Bourahla is a professor of structural dynamics and earthquake engineering, and head of the scientific board of the civil engineering department at ENP (National Polytechnic School) Algiers, Algeria. He received his Ph.D. from Bristol University (UK) where he was heavily involved in seismic small-scale testing of steel frames on the six-axis shaking table and data processing of seismic qualification testing at the Earthquake Engineering Research Centre (EERC, Bristol). He joined the University of Blida (Algeria), where he co-founded an autonomous civil engineering department, established a research team, and built up a resource of tools for full-scale ambient vibration testing of buildings. The team was awarded several research grants CNEPRU and PNR by the Ministry of Higher Education to provide support for postgraduate training (formation par la recherche). He is co-author of a hundred peer-reviewed journal publications, conferences, reports, and chapters and was awarded the S. T. Shieh award 2003, Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) London, for joint research work with a team from Oxford University. He is a member of several scientific boards at universities and national research centers in Algeria. He is a member of the technical committees (GTS) of the Algerian seismic code of bridges (RPOA) and the actual revision of the seismic code RPA. As a specialist consultant, he has worked on numerous engineering projects such as the design and construction of a world-class earthquake laboratory having a 6m x 6m six-axis shaking table (CGS), seismic vulnerability studies and strengthening of existing ancient masonry/RC buildings, technical assistance on various types of structures such as high-capacity stadiums, cement plants, electrical power plants, and other industrial installations.

Prof. Aneel Kumar Hindu is presently working as Dean, Faculty of Science, Technology and Humanities Mehran University of Engineering & Technology Pakistan. He is also a Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering of the university. He did his M.E. in Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology Thailand and Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. He was also the winner of the HEC-AIT Scholarship and MEXT Scholarship of Japan to pursue his Master’s and Ph.D. studies, respectively. His specialization and research interests include Sub Soil Investigations, Design of Shallow and Deep Foundations, Mechanical and Chemical Soil Stabilization, Contamination Migration through Porous Media, and Eco-Friendly Construction Materials. He is the author of more than 70 research publications published in various reputed International and National Journals and Conferences. He has traveled widely around the world to deliver lectures and presentations related to his field of specialization. Presently he is researching geopolymer concrete, innovative soil stabilization techniques, and geotechnical modeling of coastal areas of the Arabian sea. In addition to his academic positions, he has also remained profoundly involved in the field as a Geotechnical Expert. He has designed the foundations of several civil engineering projects and conducted geotechnical investigations of various locations throughout the Sindh Province of Pakistan.

Dr. Bahman Meyghani has joined Blue Engineering in 2021 as a Mechanical Engineer. Moreover, he is a lecturer in the department of mechanical engineering at the UCSI University of Malaysia. His main responsibilities in Blue Engineering are the design, development, problem solution and verification with finite element methods (FEMs) for ASML, the Netherlands. Dr. Bahman Meyghani has multiple years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia and he has completed a 2-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the School of Material Science and Engineering, Shandong University of China. During the past 10 years, he has been working in multidisciplinary companies and he has conducted numerous design development and numerical modeling. He has also published several scientific papers and books in the area of 3D designing and FEMs.
